Formed as an experiment after I left the Penny Candles and to push my songwriting. I played rhythm guitar and sang lead vocals (I can be seen clutching Dave Rotheray’s ESP Telecaster, quite simply one of the best guitars I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing and one which Dave sadly and regretfully sold), Eddie Whatmough played lead guitar, Matthew Hogg played bass and sang backing vocals and Hughie Whitaker played drums and also sang BVs. Only ever intended as a temporary project, we existed for a few months before the band members moved on to other things (retirement, parenthood, summer seasons – I’ll let you guess who did what), but it served it’s purpose. I believe that this photograph is the only image of the band performing, unless anyone out there has one tucked away under the bed!

Partly for reasons of vanity, I’ve started re-recording some of the songs. Also, because although all 8 songs the band had were recorded at some stage, either at The Warren in Hull or live at The Adelphi (also in Hull), I only have recorded copies of the 3 songs below plus a track called “See Me”, so I thought I’d commit them to tape (I’m showing my age now!) whilst I can still vaguely remember them.
